Life

An America that is militarily and economically strong is not enough. The world must see an America that is morally strong. – President Ronald Reagan.

Kurt is 100% Pro-Life. Protecting the rights of the weak is one of the primary functions of government and Kurt is completely committed to defending the weakest and most defenseless minority in our society – unborn children.

Kurt is also pro-life in regards to the mothers of these precious babies.  Missouri can guard the health and safety of these vulnerable women by tightening medical regulations for abortion clinics and providing legal protection and recourse to women who are coerced into unwanted abortions.  Reducing abortions will also require working with private organizations that will help mothers with counseling, medical care, sonograms, adoption information, job training, etc. – providing real choices to women who may feel they truly have no choice.

The issue of life is more than protecting the unborn, however, and with the possible advent of government-run health care, the lives of the elderly and terminally ill are potentially at risk.  Man is made in the image of God.  Life is therefore inherently valuable.  In a government-run system where health care is rationed for the “greater good,” a human life is considered important only if it can contribute economically to society.  I will support life at all its stages and not let government play god with the lives of the weak.
